Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Delvin Bourn's journey began with his enlistment in the U.S. Army straight out of high school. Assigned to the prestigious 82nd Airborne Division, Delvin's military service took him on a remarkable journey. From capturing North Korean infiltrators in the DMZ to participating in drug interdiction missions in Central and South America, Delvin's experiences were diverse and impactful. He earned a Bronze Star for Valor during the first Gulf War and later served in Kosovo and Somalia. Despite facing challenges like a serious pelvic injury during his service, Delvin continued to persevere with bravery and resilience. However, Delvin's struggles extended beyond the battlefield. Dealing with undiagnosed depression and anxiety, he faced personal hardships after leaving the military, including two divorces and a diagnosis of an autoimmune disease linked to his service in the Middle East. Despite battling cancer and undergoing life-saving treatments, Delvin faced additional health complications, including heart issues and an abdominal aneurysm. Throughout his journey, Delvin grappled with suicidal thoughts, a struggle that he knows all too well from losing 25 fellow veterans to suicide. It is from these deeply personal experiences that Delvin's commitment to Bourn Free's mission stems. With a profound understanding of the challenges posed by depression, anxiety, and illness, Delvin is driven to provide hope and support to others facing similar struggles. Through Bourn Free, he aims to build a community where individuals can find solace, resilience, and a sense of purpose, empowering them to thrive despite the odds.

Catherine Bourn's journey embodies a blend of service, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit. As a Filipino-American married to a disabled U.S. Army Veteran, she brings a deep commitment to supporting others. Graduating from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a major in Accounting and Finance, Catherine laid a solid foundation for her career. For over 15 years, Catherine managed small to mid-sized law firms in Las Vegas, showcasing her exceptional organizational skills and financial acumen. Her experience in this role honed her ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and ensure operational efficiency. In 2020, Catherine embarked on a new chapter, joining the Bourn Free team and channeling her expertise to support its mission. Alongside her husband, she ventured into e-commerce entrepreneurship, leveraging their combined skills to contribute to the organization's endeavors. Additionally, Catherine dedicates her time to serving as an accountant for non-profit organizations and small law firms, applying her financial prowess to advance worthy causes and businesses alike.

Ricardo L. Mong brings over 14 years of expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and operations to his role as Chief Business Development Officer at Bourn Free. With a background in both military service and defense contracting, Ricardo has honed his skills in managing high-level government contracts and fostering critical partnerships, including serving as second-in-command at a key international military depot in Kabul. Upon returning to the United States, Ricardo continued to excel in military logistics, particularly supporting Marine Corps operations across the Americas and the Caribbean. His efforts in optimizing supply chains resulted in substantial cost savings and enhanced operational efficiency. In 2020, Ricardo founded Archangel Group, where he successfully secured significant contracts and drove business growth as CEO. In his current role at Bourn Free, Ricardo spearheads business development strategies, leveraging his extensive experience and network to forge impactful partnerships and expand outreach efforts. His unwavering dedication to supporting veterans, coupled with his proven track record of driving business success, makes him an invaluable asset to the Bourn Free team.

Jenna Girompini brings a wealth of experience to Bourn Free, helping identify and secure both private and government grants. With a background in homeland security, pharmaceutical government contracting, project management, and process improvement, she has consulted for major organizations including the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Agency and LinkedIn. Jenna has led notable projects such as reworking the IRS’s Strategic Engagement Plan, creating a Project Management Certification Program with UMASS Boston, and improving business processes for a Tier 1 airport. She is an expert in FAR and DFAR, providing procurement training for the US Air Force and US Army. At Bourn Free, Jenna's expertise ensures the organization successfully navigates the grant procurement process, securing the necessary funding to support and expand our programs for veterans.
